I believe passionately that a strong BritCham is good for Cambodia.

The UK-Cambodia relationship is not just government-to-government – it's about all the institutional and people-to-people connections between our two great countries. Businesses are at the heart of this. Business is where Cambodia and the UK come together as equal partners, working together for mutual benefit.

BritCham and British businesses make an important contribution to Cambodia's economic development. Alongside making an important contribution to Cambodia's phenomenal growth, many British companies make a conscious effort to give back to Cambodia, through charitable work and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes. They play a leading and important role in advocating for improvements to the business environment, and they have raised the bar for corporate governance and standards.

It's a genuine pleasure, whenever I visit British businesses in the Kingdom, to see Cambodians who are proud of their jobs, their workplace and their employers, who believe and invest in them.

I'm enthusiastic to do what I can to support the fantastic work that our businesses do in Cambodia – to promote and raise the profile of British products and services, to help connect British businesses with potential partners and customers, to advocate on their behalf and, sometimes, simply to bask in the reflected glory of their great work.
