As the Chairman of BritCham, I would like to warmly welcome you all to the Chamber.
past year has been a period of transformation for BritCham, but also
one of continued growth and development. Our strengthened partnership
with the British Embassy and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has meant a
deeper engagement with the British business community in Cambodia and
we look to continue to raise our profile as the forum for British
dedicated a lot of time this past year to fostering relationships and
building strategic partnerships locally and regionally. We believe our
members benefit as we look to widen networks and create connectivity
that might otherwise not yet exist. We are currently developing closer
ties with British Alumni Associations in Cambodia and look forward to
connecting returning students from the UK to our members. We continue to
reinforce our ties with our regional partners as part of the Britain in
Southeast Asia (BiSEA) network.
also continue to find ways to bring value to our members and build a
growing and inclusive network. We are a small but dynamic Chamber and
this year we will look to find ways to engage our members further in
Chamber activities. Our new website has for the first time, an online
membership directory, allowing members to profile their business and
connect with each other. We will further be focusing on encouraging the
development of a enabling business environment in Cambodia by developing
Business Groups which we hope will provide a forum for our members to
engage with each other within their sectors to discuss issues affecting
them and to jointly find solutions. We have just launched our first
Business Group on Online Innovations & Technologies (e-commerce).
Finally, we are excited to be growing our network nationally having
recently organised a successful joint event in Siem Reap where we
connected with British individuals and businesses there. We will
continue to develop our network there in the coming year.
